About Ben Foulis
My Background
I was a very active kid. I grew up playing/being involved with various different sports (football, cricket, golf, swimming, athletics) and after suffering from an extensive list of injuries along with not quite being good enough at any of them to make it as a professional, I decided to take my fascination for sport and human performance to the academic side.
I graduated in 2015 with a degree in Sports Science and began my career in personal training in London shortly thereafter. To this point I have coached more than 4000 hours of 1-2-1 sessions, along with having been a contributing writer featured in various different publications such as GQ, Men’s Fitness, Gentleman’s Journal and Consumer Health Digest.
My Philosophy
I’m a believer that when it comes to our health and wellbeing, sustainability is key. I am strongly against fads and gimmicks that don’t benefit us in the long run, because ultimately, we aren’t going to be able to avoid our favourite foods and drinks for the rest of our lives, so why do it on a temporary basis?
When it comes to exercise, I buy in to in the cliché statement that "strength is never a weakness!" Every person on this planet would benefit from regularly taking part in some form of strength training. When I’m coaching, a key focus that I re enforce with my clients/athletes is on technique and execution, because excellent execution is what really drives outstanding results… regardless of whether you are pursuing aesthetic or performance related goals!
I am an avid reader, researcher and a complete geek when it comes to the human body, so if we were to begin working together, you can rest assured that I’m going to be leaving no stone unturned in helping you to achieve your goals.
